This was perhaps what guests most appreciated about the hotel. Many seemed to be on road trips and were using the hotel simply to break their journey. To this end they found the location, just off the freeway, very convenient. The hotel was easy to find initially, and the highway very accessible when they were ready to move on.
While guests did not bring up the question of value for money, many did say that the room rate here were very low indeed; perhaps the lowest in the area. They felt that it was one of the cheapest ways to get a roof over your head for the night.
The vast majority of guests who mentioned the breakfast at all felt that it was pretty decent. Though simple, it seemed to have just enough variety to allow them to find something they liked.
An extraordinary number of guests mentioned being annoyed by dripping from the bathrooms. The source was either the shower head or one if the faucets, but whatever it was, it was something like Chinese water torture to guests trying to get some quality sleep.
Far too many guests for comfort were very unhappy with the cleanliness of their room on check in. Several used the word “filthy” to describe their rooms and did not feel at all comfortable occupying them in such a state.
A number of guests thought that the décor looked very tired and the whole facility was in desperate need of a full renovation. Even with the low room rates guests thought they would need to renovate in order to stay competitive.
