The 3-star Continental Barcelona is a neo-classically styled, all-inclusive hotel on the city’s La Rambla boulevard, minutes from Plaza de Catalunya. The Boqueria food market, Catalunya metro, train and bus stops, and the Museum of Contemporary Art are within five minutes’ walk and the Gothic and Raval neighbourhoods are within 10 minutes’ walk. All rooms come with vibrant, pink decor, are air conditioned, have en-suite bathrooms with tub and shower, flat-screen TV with satellite channels, free Wi-Fi, personal safe, microwave, fridge and basic crockery and cutlery. The reception is open 24-hours a day, offering currency exchange and booking services. Continental Barcelona offer guests access to its free buffet any hour of the day, including white wine, beer and soft drinks. The port is 15 minutes away by foot, the central Barcelona Sants train station is a seven-minute train ride away and the Sagrada Familia can be reached in 20 minutes.

The free buffet, available any time of the day and night, offered a decent range of food and drinks, as well as self-made ice cream, and so was popular for its convenience and for saving money.
Guests found the staff members at Continental Barcelona to be very nice and helpful, going out of their way to help wherever necessary.
A small number of guests found the mattresses to either be hard or generally uncomfortable, so while the majority of guests did not have an issue, keep this in mind if you are picky with beds.
Guests have said the rooms with balconies overlooking La Rambla were fantastic for soaking up the atmosphere without having to delve into it, but this had the drawback of making them a bit noisy at night time due to revellers in the street.
