Positive Reviews
positive:
A Lovely Old Converted Home
Character-filled and cozy, this historic house is beautifully-arranged with pretty decor and kept very tidy. Grab a fresh orange right off the tree in front or sit inside for a glass of cucumber water and cookies upon arrival. The location is perfect, just a block away from downtown Coronado, but set far enough back to be relaxing. Ideal for individuals, couples or families as well as those traveling with dogs. They'll provide you with beach chairs and/or towels for your day at the seashore - just ask! They have military rates also.
positive:
Friendly Staff
Although you may not see much of them, the staff are friendly and helpful when they're around. Be sure to call ahead if you'll be arriving late or going out for the night - they keep the front door locked but they'll provide a key for you.
positive:
Clean, Classic Rooms
These are comfy rooms, impeccably clean, adorned with traditional decor. Air conditioning is optimal (although perhaps a bit noisy for some), televisions are small, but function adequately, and the complimentary toiletries are lovely.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Breakfast Next Door
Some may not be thrilled at the idea of a bed and breakfast serving breakfast at the chain restaurant next door - but others enjoy the morning selection at Panera Bread just fine.
negative:
No Off-Street Parking, No Elevator
You may need to park a little distance away as there isn't any on-site parking - only spaces along the street. The upside is - it's free! If you're limited on mobility, call ahead for accommodation suggestions as there is no elevator either.
negative:
Not the Homiest Experience
Some felt they would have preferred staff stayed around more to make their visit warm and homey- instead they were scarce and didn't even serve any meals on-site.
