These amazing wetlands are located in the North of Costa Rica, 25 km south of the community of Los Chiles (border with Nicaragua) in the province of Alajuela. Caño Negro wildlife refuge is one of the first areas that give special emphasis in the management of biological resources according to the development of human life, combining the tourist activities with the protection of the species and natural resources. The hotel is surrounded by lush tropical vegetation and the lagoon, having direct access in rainy season to all the channels and lagoons of the refuge. We have 7 wood chalets and deck with a beautiful swimming pool, 2 rooms in the main building with rustic furniture, fan, private bathroom, hot water, bar and restaurant. Activities - Hiking, bird watching, fishing, kayaks, milking, making cheese, horseback riding, bicycles, travel by boat, visit the turtle hatchery, gaspares and butterfly garden.
