Positive Reviews
positive:
Helpful staff assist where they can.
Prior to arrival, guests will find that members of staff are often in contact to assist with any special requests, airport transfers, or general enquiries. Upon arrival, guests are welcomed warmly, and encouraged to explore their surroundings.
positive:
Dietary requirements well catered to.
With many new meal fads doing the rounds, as well as food allergies becoming more and more common, the chef at the restaurant at Hotel Alexander has an extensive selection for those who need special meals. This is a great bonus, as nothing is more boring than having to order a salad as there is no other meal option.
positive:
Very clean and spacious.
Guests will find that their rooms are spacious enough for them to not feel cramped, and the facilities are very well maintained, and very well cleaned. A clean room sets the tone for a great stay.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Restaurant staff could be better.
Unfortunately during the busy season, guests will find that the restaurant staff slack off a bit in their service, and become a little overrun, and are not able to deal with the amount of orders. Slow service shouldn't be too much of a deterrent though, as the food is still good.
negative:
Not a double, but two singles.
Many of the double beds provided are in fact two single beds pushed together to make a larger bed. Unfortunately, during the night, tossing and turning does end up shifting the beds apart, and one may find themselves waking up in the gap.
negative:
Basement dining.
Half-board guests are served their meals in the basement-type area, where the room unfortunately doesn't have any windows, or views, which can be quite depressing over a meal time.
