Situated in two buildings, both in the very heart of Milan, Glamour Apartments offers very elegant and refined apartments, of various sizes, for guests who are looking for a very private luxury escape. All the apartments have classic Italian décor, but have all the modern conveniences as well. Each features free in-room WiFi, fully equipped kitchen, air conditioning, satellite TV, in-rooms safe, work desk, hair dryer and hydromassage bathtub. These are luxury apartment rentals, rather than an apart-hotel, so there are no real public facilities. The agents will be happy to offer advice on local matters and are always contactable by phone. There are no in-house dining options, but guests will find a large number of very good cafes and restaurants in the surrounding neighbourhood. The apartments are on opposite sides of Milan’s spectacular cathedral. For those fortunate enough to secure tickets, La Scala Opera House is 500 yards away.
Of course it was the location that guests most appreciated about the Glamour Apartments. The apartments are on either side of the Duomo, and guest say that they couldn't possibly choose a better location. Many guests seem to be in Milan on shopping trips, and also find the location perfect for the city's luxury boutiques.
Guests seem to really like the classical décor used in the design of the apartments. It creates a sense of refinement and luxury that seems to be exactly what they had in mind when booking their Milan trip.
While this would only to apply to one of the two apartment buildings, guests who were fortunate enough to have rooms directly overlooking the Duomo, describe it as the best city view possible. One even compared it to the famous balcony at Buckingham Palace.
Some guests experienced problems checking in. They had agreed to meet the agents at a particular point, but since there was no office with a big sign above it the agents and guests could occasionally miss each other, leading to a general sense of frustration.
One of the apartment locations is described as being in a shopping street near the Duomo. Aside from being disappointed that these rooms did not have good views, guests also describe the location as very loud.
While this wasn't mentioned often, a few guests did point out that the apartments are in a no driving zone, so there was no way to drive up to the building. Even a taxi would likely have to drop you off some way from the door to the complex.
