The hotel is clean that's for sure, even the bathroom is super clean. The furnishings are relatively new and the entire facility appears well maintained.
The hotel has modern security. You can enter the side and rear door provided by a special card from the hotel, so it's not easy for non-guest to enter and exit the facility. The neighborhood is safe and quiet, maybe a bit too quiet. There is no traffic noise or random traffic coming and going.
The city of Lompoc is a bit boring. You can get to a few good restaurants by car, but forget walking down the street to an IHOP restaurant. It's basically in the middle of nowhere; however, if you are looking for a quiet place to stay while in the area, this is the hotel for you.
Though the hotel has been updated a bit, there is still more that needs to be done. It still looks a little worn and tired. You may also experience that "old room smell" that no amount of cleaning seems to get rid of.
The swimming pool is in an awkward place. It's facing the street towards the main highway and the sidewalk. It's not very private at all.
