About Town Hall Lodge
The Town Hall Lodge is nestled down a quaint little lane right in the centre of Swanage. Genial owners, tasty breakfasts and well-appointed rooms are the hallmarks of this charming, Victorian-era B&B.
The hotel has just four guest rooms, all of which have light modern decor and hypoallergenic beds. Flat-screen TVs, DVD players and tea/coffee-making facilities are also standard features. One room has a shower cubicle in the actual room.
Guests can relax out on a patio which adorns the historic, cobblestone front yard. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout.
A selection of cooked and continental breakfast options are offered each day in an airy, wood-floored dining room connected to an open kitchen. Numerous cafes, restaurants, pubs and takeaways are located close by.
The Town Hall Lodge is a three-minute walk from both the quayside and Swanage’s revered heritage railway. The beach is a five-minute stroll away.

Location is spot on
This hotel is located just off the High Street so it's a very easy walk to everything you'd want to see in the town. In fact, neither the beach, the quayside nor the wonderful steam railway are more than a five-minute saunter away.

Very nice guest rooms
Fresh, modern and as clean as a whistle; the accommodations here really are step up from many of the offerings you tend to get at English seaside B&Bs nowadays. The Panel Room, with its charming original Victorian wood-panelling is the arguably the pick of the bunch.
positive:
Impressive breakfast selection
You really are spoilt for choice here at breakfast time with everything from continental and full English to fish and gluten-free options offered, all of which are freshly cooked and made with locally-sourced products.

Not a place for kids
Unfortunately, this is not the place to come if you're a parent with little ones in tow; the Town Hall Lodge doesn't accommodate guests under the age of 16.

Pretty strict breakfast and checking-in timings
This hotel has set times for breakfast and checking-in which - you'll soon realise - have to be abided by. In short, you get 45 minutes for breakfast (08.30-0915) and have a two-hour window for checking-in (16.00-18.00). Don't even think about checking out after the stipulated time of 10.30 - your wallet won't thank you!

But that's about it
It may not be perfect but it has to be said that that the Town Hall Lodge is, on the whole, a really rather lovely place to enjoy a traditional English seaside holiday (without the kids).
