Negative Reviews
negative:
Call pest control
There were quite a number of reviews from guests who saw cockroaches in their room during their stay. Many reported seeing more than one roach, more than once, and a few made a point to specify that they were definitely roaches, not the commonly confused palmetto bugs indigenous to Florida.
negative:
It's very old
Even the guests who had generally positive things to say about their experience at this hotel conceded that the place is rather old. In addition to the building itself looking tired, many guests complained that several features of the rooms are worn out and need replacing, such as the bedspreads, carpets, and the "lumpy" and "uncomfortable" mattresses.
negative:
It does not smell pleasant
Many guests noted that their room had an unpleasant musty or mildewy smell. Though some were willing to accept this as a common problem for hotels in humid climates, others suspected it had more to do with the A/C units not being cleaned and maintained properly. Several guests found mold on their A/C, and most reported that the smell became worse when their A/C unit was on.
