Positive Reviews
positive:
Communal kitchen available
Guests mention that they really like the convenience of being able to prepare a basic meal every now and then. They also mention that the kitchen is stocked with tea, coffee and even a few biscuits for guests to use, which they thought was a lovely touch.
positive:
Great staff
Again and again guests mention how friendly and accommodating the staff are. They seem to be intent on helping guests get the information and resources needed to make the most of their trips.
positive:
Close to the city centre
While the transport links may be some way away, the town centre with its cafes, bars and restaurants is described as very close. Guests seemed to feel they could easily walk to the dining and entertainment venues they wanted to go to.
Negative Reviews
negative:
No breakfast available on-site
Some guests found the fact that no breakfast was served on-site a little inconvenient. While the pension does make arrangements with a nearby café to serve its guests, and there are other options in the area, some guests would just have like the convenience of having breakfast on-site.
negative:
Quite far from the station
Several guests arriving by bus or train mention that it was quite a far walk for them to get to the pension. A good 25 minutes at least. While they were happy that they could walk, rather than have to use a taxi, it was a bit of a pain after a long train or bus ride.
negative:
Cash only
Like a few other small pensions in Europe Pod Lipo only accepts cash when settling the bill in person. Some guests found this inconvenient, since they didn't carry much cash with them when travelling.
