Negative Reviews
negative:
Outdated Dilemma.
Much of S.F. European has sparked disappointment for prior residents, regarding maintenance and general upkeep, as many facilities and structural portions of the hostel remain in rather questionable condition. Such discrepancies as thread-bare carpets, wobbly furniture, and ill-fitted windows are said to persist throughout many of the dorms. Inoperable wall sockets and broken shower heads have additionally aroused negative attention.
negative:
Plain Dirty.
Many former inhabitants of this central-dwelling hostel have borne complaints with the degree of cleanliness. Dirt caking the carpets, grime in the grouting of showers and lathering shower curtains, as well as gum plastered to bunk beds have detracted from the stay of guests. Stained bedding and heavy dust accumulation are also among prior grievances.
negative:
The Mouse Takes the Cheese.
Standing out above those concerns pertaining to S.F. European's standard—or lack, thereof—of hygiene, mice and other small rodents have been spotted scurrying about the property. Much to the dismay of prior visitors, the lobby, dormitories, and other residents' facilities are subject to such infestation.
