El Cozumeleño Beach Resort (Cozumel, Mexico)

Steps from the white sands beach and minutes from the airport, this is a superb Cozumel location. A spacious lobby area invites your arrival and the seating around the sunny deck is plentiful. Rooms are clean and well-supplied with stellar ocean views. On-site dining includes two restaurants and a snack bar, as well as a Lobby Bar serving cocktails every evening. With on-site activities including table games, tennis, miniature golf, and five swimming pools, (as well as discounts for nearby golf courses) you won't be lacking in fun. Don't miss the snorkeling options both on and off-site (bring your own equipment if you have it); the fish and colorful coral are some of the most stunning in the world!

Although there are mixed reviews on the variety available, most enjoyed the quality of the dining options. Some of the meals require reservations/dress code, so check with staff.

Friendly and helpful staff are on hand and offering assistance from arrival to departure. All departments provide excellent customer service, and the majority do speak English - although Spanish is always welcome, too.

As the venue ages, some amenities could use a refurb. Air conditioning is not always optimal, which can be problematic in the Mexican heat. Beds and pillows aren't as comfy as some would prefer, and gym equipment is ancient.

The two on-site restaurants provide somewhat sparse and repetitive buffet selections, leaving some guests to opt for off-site dining. Snorkeling is a fun activity offered, but bring your own equipment if possible; some of the masks provided here leak. Also, you cannot take their equipment off-site for additional exploration.

Wi-Fi is available only in common areas, not in guest rooms.
