Positive Reviews
positive:
Explore Amsterdam by foot, or take the tram.
Guests reported that Dream had a great central location for Amsterdam which meant they could explore all of the city's attractions by foot, with Rembrandtplein being particularly close by. The tram connections nearby are apparently also useful if you want to get around quickly, or want to skip a half hour walk to Amsterdam Centraal Station.
positive:
Polite staff and comprehensive buffet breakfast.
Reviews indicate that the staff is helpful, polite and friendly, and those who ate breakfast at the hotel say they were happy with what they got — including fruit, protein like salmon and eggs, pancakes and all sorts of continental fare.
positive:
Modern, clean and comfortable.
The rooms here are reportedly modern, clean, and have fast Wi-Fi connection possibilities. Furthermore, the bathrooms are equipped with strong showers, although a few guests mentioned having water spray throughout the bathroom as a result.
Negative Reviews
negative:
A little noise is possible.
Although a few people said they experienced some noise from their next door neighbours, or people passing by in the hallway, and a handful of others said they had disruption from the street in the front rooms, reviews seem to show Dream to be relatively quiet for Amsterdam.
negative:
Be aware of the lack of elevator.
Some of those who stayed were unhappily surprised by the lack of an elevator, instead having to tackle steep and narrow staircases. Guests occasionally found this to be an issue if they had to carry up a large amount of luggage, however this is fairly common for Amsterdam.
negative:
Single beds pushed together.
A small number of guests who found their double beds to be two single beds pushed together and topped with double mattress arrangement were not particularly impressed, and occasionally had trouble keeping them together.
