Guests can get close to nature with a stay in an organic cottage at Hobbit Hut. Situated just off the Redwood Highway 36 kilometres north of Santa Rosa in California, these ecological abodes are made from adobe bricks and are topped off with a living roof full of herbs and flowers. Only nine square metres in total, the soundproofed huts are cosy and contain their own oven and fireplace. Some come with a private external seating area and all have shared WCs. Guests can cool off in a communal swimming pool and hot tub or relax in the sauna. Hobbit Hut also offers an outdoor fireplace, barbecue facilities and free Wi-Fi. Diavola Pizzeria is just a three-minute walk away and offers gourmet Italian dishes and craft beers. The River Rock Casino can be reached in under ten minutes by car.
