A warm glow.
On a cold day, the essentials of a hotel room are warmth and lots of hot water for a 'thawing out' exercise in the shower. Both are well in evidence here. The prices are attractive, making this a good budget choice.

It's not the ultimate in hotel accommodation, but it is, for the main part, very clean. The process is helped immeasurably by extremely friendly management and staff who constantly go out of their way to ensure that you are happy and comfortable.
Breakfast is substantial, well cooked and presented, and excellent value. Staff versatility is well in evidence at all times. This includes breakfast, where they'll prepare something not on the menu, to keep you happy and contented.
For a nightmare in Congleton, look no further! The regular Friday and Saturday discos bang on until the early hours and there is no escape from the noise. This is a combination of car doors and engines, screaming, shouting and fighting. A ‘Helluva' weekend … but for all the wrong reasons.
The stock response to guest complaints about the intolerable noise, lack of heat and other problems, is not ...‘How can I help you rectify the problem'. It's more likely that staff will become angry (*with you) and yell, above the level of the music ... ‘What do you expect for this price?'
When you book out - at the bar - there's no-one around to take your key and wish you a safe journey (*you just know, though, that the outward journey is going to be enjoyable!) There is, though, the opportunity to clear the shelves of expensive drinkies and probably the tills of cash.
