The Bed & Breakfast Residenza Cecchi is a small accommodation facility stemming from an old family abode. Thanks to the recent renovation, we are ready to welcome guests who wish to enjoy peace, quiet and a bit of magic. Crossing the entrance door you are catapulted into a real Florentine residence. We cured every detail to make the experience of the stay unique and unforgettable. The floors are those of the past, the furniture has that taste of ancient that brings you immediately back in time, combining them with all the comforts of today. In the common areas you shall relax reading a good book of our collection, or watching television in the lounge, enjoying a good coffee or fresh fruit in the kitchen, or get a breath of fresh air in our garden. Located on the left bank of the Arno in the historic district of Gavinana, from our b&b you may walk to Ponte Vecchio or Piazza Santa Croce in just 20 minutes, or arrive at the evocative Piazzale Michelangelo in 15 minutes with a relaxing walk along the Viale dei Colli, from where you are able to cherish the city of Florence in all its beauty. "Residenza Cecchi" takes its name from the street where is located: Giovanni Maria Cecchi, notary and playwright of the 1500s, very close to his city and devoted to the Medici family. It is also for this reason that for our rooms we wanted to pay homage to the city of Florence and its history, inspiring them to the colour of the 4 historic districts of the city: Red, Green, White and Blue. Nothing has been left to chance, they are all well-finished in every single detail, furnished with care in full compliance with the style of the house.
