Set amid the olive and almond groves, our 'home from home' offers you the luxury of privacy and the pleasure of great personal service. Situated at the foot of the majestic El Torcal Mountains in Andalucia's most spectacular landscape, the Bed & Breakfast is the ideal place to get away from it all and enjoy the slow pace of real Spanish country life! Take in the 360 degree panoramic views of the mountains in the surrounding of Malaga, or enjoy breakfast on our terrace overlooking the Mediterranean sea. Elevated at 720 meters, la Posada del Torcal is cooler than lowland Andalucia and usually enjoys a nice breeze. Between 2014 and 2017 La Posada del Torcal was beautifully and extensively restored and modernised utilising reclaimed materials, with authentic antique features combined with modern pieces of furniture and art. Our B&B is a perfect example of an Andalucian 'finca' nestled in the heart of the countryside. Watch the griffon vultures soaring high overhead on the daytime thermals, or gaze at the stars in some of the best night skies that Spain has to offer. La Posada del Torcal is Adults Only (16 years plus). Hence giving you the tranquility you are looking for. In the months of May through to October the minimum stay is two nights, giving you the opportunity to fully enjoy the spectacular surroundings. The food: The restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere with breathtaking views, and whether you are in the restaurant or on the terrace you can enjoy culinary highlights or a cooling drink. We serve a delicious breakfast on our spectacular terrace on Andalusian sunny mornings or otherwise inside the restaurant. Dinner is served 4 nights a week: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays (Paella night) and Saturdays. Dinner is a set 3 course menu that draws its inspiration from magnificent Spanish cuisine often in combination with South East Asian influences. On the nights that the restaurant is closed we recommend having dinner or tapas in our local village Villanueva de la Concepción, which is less than 5 kilometers away. We serve dinner with a minimum of 4 people in total on the nights that we are open. We use fruit, vegetables and herbs from our own organic garden whenever possible. Our fish comes fresh from the Andalusian coast and meat from our organic suppliers. Let Chef Mark take you on a culinary journey through Spain, accompanied by a great selection of great Spanish wine, sherry and brandy.
