La Chancellerie is an old and charming manor house in the Loire valley (15th to 18th century), surrounded by 25 castles within a radius of 25 kms. Beautiful French regular garden with a fountain in the main yard. The property is surrounded by a high stone wall, providing a discreet parking place, Large pool and terrace in the park behind the manor, 4 B&Bs rooms for either 2, 4 or 5 people, and 2 self catering for 4 and 7 people. All are situated around the garden of the main yard. Lovely countryside, paradise for bikers, near the cities of Chinon and Saumur. The hosts welcome their guests in French, German, English and Italian. There are 2 large music rooms equipped with grand pianos, ideal placed to rehearse, practise, teach, record music, located in separate buildings, no sound annoyance for tourists or for other musicians. Bikes for rent, canoes for rent. We cook for our guests on demand only, possibly every day except Saturday evenings. Wine cellar dating from the 15th century offering local wines branded Chinon, Bourgueil, Saumur and Loire. in short, an invitation to the art of living in Touraine, which ows so much to Italy.
