The standard room has an outside bathroom whilst the two bedroom apartment has a private entrance and a kitchenette. Guests were pleased to report that they did not need the use of their cars during their stay as they were able to walk to most places that they wanted to see. The waterfront is just a short walk away from the inn whilst those who were keen to sample the local bars, cafes and restaurants found it convenient having numerous local amenities on their doorstep.
The majority of the guests said they felt well-looked after during their stay and appreciated all the helpful tips and information passed onto them by the owners with regards to the area. The hosts often went out of their way to assist the guests in various situations which many greatly appreciated.
The inn dates back to the 1890's and many enjoyed hearing all about the building's history from the owners. Many appreciated the original period features as well as the numerous pieces of antiques scattered throughout the property. If you prefer interiors full of character and vintage-inspired decor then you certainly won't be disappointed.
Guests mentioned that some of the furniture and upholstery in their en-suites were looking somewhat tatty and worn and were in need of replacement.
Quite a few guests mentioned that the bathrooms were quite compact and objected to not having anywhere to place their toiletries. One of the rooms has a bathroom which is down the hallway which quite a few guests found inconvenient.
Guests reported several plumbing-related issues ranging from weak water pressure which made showering cumbersome through to slow draining sinks and having to wait for the hot water to come through.
