Positive Reviews
positive:
Excellent value for money
Considering the B&B's location, which was described as terrific, and the room rate they received, guests overwhelmingly agree that they received exceptional value. One gets the impression from the reviews that they can scarcely believe their good luck.
positive:
Dining areas outside each room
In late 2015 it seems the owners set up little mini dining areas just outside each room. Although there haven't been many reviews as yet, it looks like these will be a big hit with guests.
positive:
Great central location
Of course Venice is reasonably compact so many B&B's could be said to be central, but Foresteria is especially close to St. Marks Square - just a couple of minutes' walk. Naturally guests found this convenient when they headed out to see the sights.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Some rooms have “odd” layout
Guests were not entirely clear what exactly they meant by this, but a few had the feeling that their room just had a bit of an “odd” layout. It was not a serious problem, and the unusualness could even be said to be a positive to some.
negative:
Rooms a bit too basic for some
While the simple furniture and minimalist style décor were a hit for some, others were less impressed, and merely considered the rooms bare and uninteresting.
negative:
Hotel hard to find
While this is definitely a cliché in Venice, several guests found the property quite hard to find. While almost any sort of property in Venice is hard to find, except major buildings along the Grand Canal, guests mention that Foresteria has no sign on the door, making it even more difficult than usual.
