Bed & Breakfast Arch House B&B & Apartments (Athlone, Ireland)

Previous guests love the fact that this charming little house is just a ten-minute stroll from the town centre, and along the way, many restaurants and bars are located. There's also a shopping centre beside the property, which delighted many guests who did not want to spend much for travelling costs.

There is a free breakfast provided, but many guests recommended paying a small additional for the full Irish breakfast. The said upgraded meal comes in great variety: cereals, porridge made on milk or soya, fruits, yoghurts, and eggs that can be cooked according to preference. The dining room is bright and cheerful too, which made the meal even more enjoyable.

Rooms are fully-equipped with the amenities guests need for a comfortable stay. Guests loved that there are plenty of pillows, duvets, fluffy towels and other en-suite amenities. Furthermore, appliances like DVD players, microwave, and iron are modern and functional.

Parking can be difficult, especially when the guesthouse is full! Guests had a difficult time turning and manoeuvring the car around as the car park is packed and tight. Moreover, reaching the parking space is a task since guests have to cross a narrow alley going to the back of the establishment.

There were reports of previous guests about trash bins not being emptied out and strands of hair left on the bed sheets upon their entrance. Thus, housekeeping can be inconsistent at times.

Guests commented on the poor sound isolation, reporting that they were able to hear noises like people talking on the hallways or coming up the stairs. Some were very disturbed because of this issue and had to talk to the front desk the following morning.
