Surrounded by chestnut groves, the tranquil Mulino Marghen agriturismo is a traditional country mill-house, recently tastefully restored to an exceptional standard. It is situated by the historic hamlet of Noce, in Zeri; hidden deep in the hills of Lunigiana, Northern Tuscany. Set in it's own grounds beside the River Gordana, it offers guests a wonderfully peaceful antidote to the stresses of modern life, and with a level of comfort unmatched in the area. Recently described as the finest agriturismo in Zeri, Mulino Marghen is a family run one-off guest house, and is the result of three years of work and ambitious drive, behind which are the owners Adriana and Martin, who live in the converted stable with their daughter Emma. With views of the gardens or the crystal-clear river, each of the four guest rooms comes with period stone walls and characteristic wood-beamed ceilings. Each room is truly unique, and includes a modern en-suite bathroom, free Internet access, and tea and coffee making facilities. All are offered at very competitive prices. Dining at Mulino Marghen agriturismo is always a feast of home-made, authentic, traditional dishes made from locally sourced meat and fish, with vegetables grown on site, on our own wholly organic orto, and dairy products sourced just along the road. Zeri is renowned throughout Italy for the quality of its food, in particular the lamb it produces. Meals can be enjoyed on the terrace overlooking the river in summer, or else in the enchanting salon all year round. Free Wi-Fi is available in communal areas, and in the evening guests can relax in the salon-lounge, beside a cosy fire. Mulino Marghen agriturismo guest-house is located in the centre of the Zeri region; 15 minutes' drive from ZumZeri skiing, and a 45 minute drive through the beautiful Lunigiana countryside to the Cinque Terre National Park, a UN world heritage site.
