Basic but comfortable rooms
Although the rooms at the Barclay Hotel are simple in what they offer, most previous guests were happy with the accommodation. Along with being comfortable, the rooms are also generally noted as being clean by past visitors.
Negative Reviews
negative:
No elevator
The lack of an elevator has been understandably troublesome for a number of past guests at the Barclay Hotel - especially those staying on the higher floors of the building.
negative:
Parking difficulties
The parking situation at the hotel has been upsetting for many former visitors. Not only is there a limited amount of spaces in the opinion of most guests, but the parking is not on-site and it comes at a surcharge.
negative:
No-thrills approach
While the Barclay Hotel does have a bar area and concierge service, some previous guests have lamented the accommodation for its no-thrills approach. However, this has not been a problem for the majority of past visitors, with the hotel fitting the bill as an inexpensive base to explore Vancouver.
